The travels continued for Sifu David Peterson this year, seeing him make his 14th and 15th seminar tours of the UK, the first of which included a highly successful “combination seminar” in Southampton conducted jointly by David and good friends, Sifu John Smith (‘Illawarra Ving Tsun School’), Sifu Ernie Barrios (‘Applied Body Mechanics Ving Tsun’), Sifu Kevin Bell and Sifu Alan Gibson (‘Wing Chun Federation’).

The two-day event was attended by people from all over the UK, Denmark, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Australia and the USA, making it one of the best-attended seminars for ‘WSLVT’ ever. David also made his third seminar tour to Sofia, Bulgaria, and his third seminar trip to Malaysia as well, teaching and demonstrating in Kuala Lumpur and Seremban.

There is a rapidly growing interest in ‘WSLVT’ in Malaysia, largely due to the impact of the ‘Ip Man’ movie franchise, and lots of inquiries are being received with regard to the possibility of more seminars and even regular classes being conducted in that region. More trips there are already planned for 2011. Once again, under the expert guidance of Sifu Darren Elvey, classes at the ‘MCMAC’ have continued in David’s absence and numbers have continued to grow with record numbers attending. We now have a page on social networking website, ‘Facebook’ (‘Melbourne Chinese Martial Arts Club – WSL Wing Chun Combat Science’), so if you’ve not already joined the group, please do so and we can communicate even more effectively to all ‘MCMAC’ members and friends. This has been yet another very successful year for the Club and its members. Thanks everyone for your continued support!
